To say the magazine industry – not just in South Africa, but internationally — is going through a rough time would be an understatement.
With several publications closing, it’s brutal, it’s bloodshed and it’s hard to watch.
Magazine sales and advertising revenues have been in decline for years, and for many, the pandemic and its effects has been the final nail on the coffin.
As for those still in action, they’ve had to go digital for the foreseeable future.
Destiny Careers is no different. Because of the level five lockdown imposed on March 26, we weren’t able to bring our April 2020 edition to the shelves.
(But here’s a little secret: if you head to your local Clicks or Spar, you can still find our delicious and intelligent March edition on the shelves, so be sure to get yourself a copy next time you have to nip out for some quick errands.)
